Background

Sara Best, an award-winning communications professional with over ten years experience in government and the private sector, launched Velo Communications Inc. in the spring of 2007.

Prior to founding Velo Communications, President Sara Best gained much of her communications expertise and experience serving a number of Ontario elected officials. She has been:

  • Communications Advisor to the Hon. Sandra Pupatello, Minister of Community and Social Services, Minister Responsible for Ontarians with Disabilities and Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues

  • Communications Advisor to the Hon. Madeleine Meilleur, Minister of Community and Social Services, Minister Responsible for Ontarians with Disabilities and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs

  • Communications Planner in the Communications and Marketing Branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services

  • Communications Advisor on employee communications and Editor of Keeping In Touch, a quarterly newsletter at RBC Financial Group

  • Assistant Manager of Media Relations at RBC Financial Group.

Ms. Best is a recipient of an Achieving Communications Excellence (ACE) Award from the Canadian Public Relations Society and a Dalton Pen Communications Award of Excellence from Warwick Publishing, USA.
